Bruno's Contracting (Thunder Bay) Limited is a heavy civil construction group with over forty years’ experience in heavy civil construction, road building, asphalt paving, materials production, and demolition. We are currently welcoming applications for a full-time Construction Foreman capable of fulfilling the following requirements:

JOB DESCRIPTION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily site operations, including crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials on projects of varying size and complexity. 
  • Plan and organize work to meet project schedules, ensuring efficient use of labour, equipment, and resources. 
  • Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is completed to required standards. 
  • Monitor daily production, track progress, and report to project managers and senior management as required. 
  • Enforce company safety policies and procedures, ensuring all work is performed in a safe and compliant manner. 
  • Identify and resolve on-site issues, conflicts, and delays in a timely and effective manner. 
  • Coordinate with project managers, estimators, and clients to ensure clear communication and successful project execution. 
  • Train, mentor, and provide leadership to crew members to maintain a productive and positive work environment. 
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to specifications. 
SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction operations, including road building, grading, and/or asphalt paving. 
  • Proven leadership experience supervising crews in a construction environment. 
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions on-site. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with applicable safety regulations. 
  • Valid Class G driver’s license. 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 years of experience in heavy civil construction is required. 
  • Previous foreman or supervisory experience is considered a strong asset. 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., health & safety training) are considered an asset.
